Executive Assistant
Ms. Danielle
I believe that every child is capable of reaching their full potential, and the tools provided by SCA Tutoring makes that possible for our students. It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to practice my organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills in this environment.

Director Assistant/ELA & Math Tutor
Ms. Lauren
My growing passion for education led me to an amazing opportunity at SCA. I have had incredible experiences alongside tutors and students all while being able to foster my skills as an educator.
The center has given me a place to learn and apply new techniques, including the Orton Gillingham approach, helping students to turn their weaknesses into strengths. I received both my master's and teaching certifications from Montclair State University (MSU). Both SCA and MSU have prepared me to be the Special Education teacher I am today.
I chose to tutor at SCA because the words "I can’t” are not an option. The team strives to help students grow academically and over come their challenges in every possible way.
My Advice for Students: Mistakes are okay to make! They show you are trying and learning!

Ms. Z
Reading Tutor
For almost 10 years, I've dedicated myself to advancing the reading and literacy skills of students as an Educational Specialist in English Language Arts (ELA). My innate ability to forge meaningful connections with students, combined with my training in the Orton Gillingham approach, has empowered me to guide them with both empathy and expertise, enabling them to navigate the world of reading with renewed confidence.
My educational background includes an Associate's degree in Business Administration, equipping me with an analytical mindset. This pairs seamlessly with my Bachelor's in Educational Studies, emphasizing Special & Elementary Education. These academic pursuits have deepened my understanding of diverse learning needs, enabling me to cater to each student's unique strengths and challenges.
In every endeavor, be it academic or personal, my goal remains constant: to help others discover and harness their potential.

Mr. Herb
ELA Tutor
I chose SCA Tutoring because we are not a cookie cutter tutoring center like a lot of other places. At SCA, I have the freedom to create a tailored educational plan based on each individual student.

Mr. Richard
Math Tutor
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences with a concentration in Applied Mathematics from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). During my time there, I started tutoring and gained a stronger drive to go into education.
The two most important things I look for in a student are drive and passion. As a passionate person who wears their emotions on their sleeve, I put 110% into anything that I am passionate about. I try my best to put that passion into my lessons for my students. When a student puts 110% into their work and shows interest in what they're learning, it inspires me to give my all. Whether it be a tutor or a student, staying curious and putting effort and love into what you do will always be the most important parts to gaining success and happiness.

ELA Tutor
Ms. Catherine
I thoroughly enjoy working at SCA Tutoring because their mission to empower every child and encourage individualized teaching aligns perfectly with my belief in providing limitless learning possibilities for students. As a part of this dedicated group of teachers, I can help students overcome challenges and realize their full academic potential.

Math Tutor
Mr. Brandon
I've realized that each student needs different learning methods to succeed in any subject. Mathematics is no exception and may require help from an expert. I understand the frustration that can occur when learning a new topic and I hope to help each student with their individual needs.

Math Tutor
Mr. Brent
I chose to join SCA because it places an emphasis on students realizing their own unique potential. I want to help students grow confident in their abilities and succeed in all they do.
I've realized that adaptability and empathy are universally paramount in connecting with others; these are traits I try to carry with me wherever I go.

ELA Tutor
Ms. Shayna
The arts provided me with an escape into worlds far more magical than my own, allowing me the space to find myself. My long term career goals include going to medical school to become a Pediatrician. I want to be able to help children become well rounded people. By being a reading tutor with SCA Tutoring allows me to help children now, helping to give them the tools to find those magical worlds too. I want to be positive influence in the lives of the children in any way I can.

Math & ELA Tutor
Mr. E
Journeying through the realms of numbers and narratives, I find my passion in teaching both Math and English Language Arts at SCA Tutoring. My unique position as a tutor in these two diverse fields allows me to guide students in uncovering the precision and beauty in Mathematics, alongside the richness and depth in Literature. My approach in Math is to demystify complex concepts and foster a problem-solving mindset, while in ELA, I focus on enhancing reading comprehension, writing skills, and a love for language. Bridging these two subjects, I help students discover the interconnectedness of logical reasoning and creative thinking. Witnessing my students excel and develop a dual passion for both Math and ELA is a testament to the limitless potential of learning.
