What makes us the best at what we do?

At SCA, we care about each child's success.  We go above and beyond to ensure that each student in our program is empowered to become an independent, successful learner.  We do so by implementing a broad variety of non-traditional teaching and learning techniques. Our unconventional methods help students increase their ability to learn, which often brings with it a boost in self-confidence.

Whether online or onsite SCA Tutoring Center has what you need!

So why choose us?

The SCA Tutoring Center offers tutoring and enrichment programs year-round for students ages 3  through college.  Tutoring includes remediation, acceleration and most of all it gives each student the possibility to reach their full potential.  It's never too early or too late to begin!

We understand that you have many choices available.  There are many schools that provide after school tutoring for students that are having difficulty in school.  However, research indicates that these programs are inefficient, time consuming and are not individualized for your child.  This is ineffective and not a permanent solution.  The SCA Tutoring Center will provide your child with life long skills to become a better learner.

We have experience with students that struggle with ADD, dyslexia and poor working memory.  Our multi-sensory approach will help alleviate anxiety, increase confidence, and boost the recall of content. Our multi-sensory approach is good for ALL learners, but ESSENTIAL for students that struggle in the traditional classroom or with traditional tutoring.

Our unusual but effective methods of overcoming learning difficulties have helped many students realize remarkable improvement.  If you have a student who struggles, SCA Tutoring can make learning easier by working with your student to devise a plan that enables your child to attain their goals.

We know each student is different, therefore, we offer each student a custom-tailored learning plan to fit their academic needs. We take measures to provide students with the resources they need to succeed. Here are some of the steps that we take at SCA:

  • Administer Diagnostic Assessment

  • Student observation

  • Parent Consultation

  • Implementation of an appropriate study course

  • Prescribe the appropriate amount of hours

  • Provide professional one on one instruction

  • Multi-Sensory Approach
  • Provide all learning materials

  • Provide an environment conducive to learning

  • Provide learning options that foster material mastery

  • Incorporate interactive tools

  • Point out student strengths and weaknesses

  • Reward students for outstanding performance

  • Collaborate with team of tutors

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers

How we do it:

The Diagnostic Assessment is a critical part of the tutoring process. Rather than beginning tutoring and assuming how your child is doing, we administer our diagnostic assessment which pinpoints your child's strengths and weakness.  Our assessment usually takes 1 - 1.5 hours to complete.  It will provide us with insight that allows us to set appropriate goals for each student. We  also administer post-assessments to measure progress.

Our Tutors

We provide a team of  professional, focused,  motivated, and  nurturing tutors with superior credentials.   Our tutors do more than just teach, they motivate, inspire, coach, mentor and build the student's confidence. They provide lessons that are fun and engaging.  We care about the whole child. The SCA's goal is to provide the best possible tutoring experience for every child.

Our Methods

We utilize the best methods and practices available.  There is nothing more effective than one on one tutoring to get your child the help he or she needs in school.   Our tutors are trained in our multi-sensory approach which is key to the success of students with special needs.  Our students benefit from the talents of many tutors and our tutors are committed to ensure that our students receive the best possible instruction.  We take part in ongoing parent conferences and  collaborate with classroom teachers.
